Rocon·Software Review

Independent reviews since 2021

Software reviews without the affiliate noise

Rocon Software Review is an independent publication about small-business software. We buy the licence, use the tool for at least two weeks, and publish what broke. No vendor pays for a ranking on this site.

Short answer: the reviews here cover small-business software as it behaves after the demo ends — invoicing, ERP sync, shipping, and the connectors between them. Every tool is bought on a company card and run on a real account for at least fourteen days, which is roughly the point where most integrations start failing under their own edge cases.

Our testing follows the same field definitions the vendors publish, so a claim about “inventory sync” means what the Shopify Admin API documentation says it means, not what a marketing page implies. Where a vendor documents a known limitation, we quote it rather than paraphrase.

“Inventory is the field every connector gets wrong first, and every vendor documents last.” — from our own integration notes, after the third migration that double-sold a unit of stock.

Pricing is checked against the vendor's page on the day of publication and re-checked quarterly, against the rates published by the standards body where a protocol is involved. If a review is out of date, the date at the top of the article says so.

How this publication works

Every tool in a comparison is bought on our own card and used on a real account for at least two weeks. Where a claim could not be tested, the table says so. Pricing is checked against the vendor's page on the day of publication and re-checked quarterly.
